The material of these very small threads connects to the subcutaneous tissue and activates fibrosis in the surrounding area. After a few days, the epidermis is firmer and smoother as a result of natural connective tissue growth (fibrosis).
The treatment is carried out under local anesthesia or an anesthetic cream, which is usually sufficient. The very fine threads are inserted directly into the deep tissue (subcutaneous tissue) via a very fine cannula. The threads that will be used, the region to be treated (neck, chin, lip, etc.) and the number of threads to be inserted are discussed with the patient beforehand.
The minimally invasive procedure activates fibroblasts and generates new connective tissue. As a result, facial skin is slightly tightened (bioregeneration). This gentle method leaves no wounds or scars. After a certain period of time (depending on the type of thread), the threads are absorbed by the tissue and the effect wears off again. However, the results can usually be seen for six to 12 months. It is possible to place additional threads again at any time.
Approx. 30 minutes
Temporary swelling, mild sensitivity to touch; blood-thinning medications such as aspirin, marcoumar, vitamin E, ginko supplements or omega-3 fatty acids should be discontinued beforehand to avoid bruising (hematomas)
The cost of such a procedure varies and is agreed upon in advance
Local anesthesia
