There are two established techniques:
• the open approach (coronal incision), and
• the endoscopic forehead lift using small incisions along the hairline.
In our clinic, we prefer the endoscopic technique for its minimal scarring and faster recovery.
The endoscopic technique is a minimally invasive method in which the forehead and brows are lifted through multiple small incisions in the scalp.
The goal is to lift mainly the lateral third of the eyebrows and smooth the forehead and glabella — without visible scars and while preserving natural facial expression.
About 3–5 incisions, each approximately 1–2 cm, are made along or just behind the hairline (usually over the temples and central forehead).
The tissue is gently released and secured to the bone or deep fascia, typically with resorbable sutures, allowing the tissue to heal and stabilize in its new position.
The incisions are closed with fine sutures and fully concealed within the hairline. Hair follicles are preserved, so there is no hair loss.
The procedure is performed in our clinic by Dr.Riikka Veltheim, FMH-certified specialist in plastic, reconstructive, and aesthetic surgery.
She is highly skilled in both the open and endoscopic techniques and will advise you on the most appropriate method based on your anatomy and aesthetic goals.
Can be combined with: upper eyelid surgery, face lifting
The cost of a forehead lift is determined individually based on the scope of the treatment.
A detailed cost estimate will be provided following a personal consultation.
Flexible financing options are available in collaboration with Cashmed Medical Financing.
To optimally support healing after surgery, we recommend a combination of micronutrients, collagen supplements, and trace elements.
These support tissue regeneration, reduce inflammation, and strengthen the immune system.
