The «short-scar-arm-lifting» or «mini-arm-lifting» is performed through a discreet incision in the armpit area. This allows the excess skin in the upper arm to be tightened without leaving a long scar along the arm. However, the indication for this procedure is very limited and only provides an improvement of the upper arm silhouette in selected cases.
Mild to moderate skin laxity of the upper arms, often age-related.
Approximately 1 hour.
Usually general anesthesia, or in specific cases, local anesthesia.
Outpatient procedure.
Generally after 3 to 4 days.
• Postoperative bleeding
• Infections
• Noticeable scarring, hypertrophic scars
• Temporary numbness or sensory disturbances in the armpit and upper arm area
• Regular scar massage to optimize healing
• Gentle handling and limited use of the arms for about 4 weeks
The costs for a short-arm lifting vary depending on the individual effort involved and will be agreed upon in advance during a personal consultation.
Available through Cash-Med Medical Financing.
